Head of Engineering

Founded in 2020, ReDem is a fast-growing, AI-powered SaaS company tackling one of the biggest challenges in market research: survey fraud. Our AI-powered platform analyzes survey responses in real time to detect low-quality, AI-generated, and fraudulent data, ensuring that researchers make decisions based on clean, reliable insights.We’re looking for a senior engineering leader to own our tech function, bridge product and technology strategy with the CEO, and ensure high-quality delivery.

Your Mission

• Own architecture, delivery, and software quality
• Shape the product roadmap together with the CEO and translate goals into tangible releases
• Lead and grow the engineering team – and contribute hands-on to key features

Your Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the software architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
• Ensure high-quality delivery from planning to operations, including retrospectives and postmortems
• Build, lead, and coach the engineering team; take ownership of recruiting and performance management
• Raise the bar for code quality through reviews, standards, testing, and CI/CD
• Co-own and execute the product strategy together with the CEO
• Champion AI-assisted, efficient coding practices and embed them in the team culture
• Build up security and compliance structures (target: ISMS based on ISO 27001)
• Work closely with selected customers for discovery and continuous feedback

What you will need

• Abachelor’s degreeincomputer science,software engineering, or arelated field.
• Amaster’s degreeis preferred but not required.
• At least 10years of experiencein softwareengineering.
• Proven leadership experience managingtechnology teamsand cross-functional projects, with a strong focus onstrategic planninganddecision-making.
• Designed and managed cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, integrating Azure-based OpenAI services and leveraging large language models (LLMs) for product innovation.
• Defined and implemented scalable data models in MongoDB to support rapid feature development and increasing customer demand.
• Strong technical knowledge insoftware development,cloud technologies,DevOps, andSecurity.
• Advocated and implemented modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development workflows, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Manage the allocation oftechnological resourcesand ensure that thecompany’s technologybudget is aligned with business priorities and resource availability.
• Excelled in stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency between engineering, product, and the CEO.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Previous Startup experience is a plus.

Salary: Minimum gross salary according to the Austrian IT collective agreement: EUR 70,000 per year (full-time). Willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
