Jobbeschreibung

Maybe you’ve just completed a major transformation, and your role is becoming BAU. Or perhaps your current organisation is moving too slowly. Either way, you’re ready for more. More impact, more complexity, and more autonomy.

This is your chance to step in at the very start of an enterprise transformation, with funding already approved and the full backing of the executive team. You’ll lead change that matters - not just to operations or margins, but to people and communities.

You know transformation isn’t only about technology, it’s about enabling people and process change. You know how to take people on the journey, build trust, address resistance, and embed smarter ways of working. You create environments where change sticks because people believe in it, not because it’s mandated.

You bring strategic capability, a track record in delivery and transformation, and the leadership maturity to bring clarity to complexity and momentum to change.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and executive team, you’ll lead the organisation’s technology and transformation strategy.

Your remit will include:

  • Managing a small internal team of 8 across IT, data, and transformation functions
  • Replacing the organisation’s core system and CRM to deliver seamless, customer-first and employee-friendly processes
  • Designing and implementing an enterprise data strategy to improve decision-making, strengthen governance, and lay the foundations for AI and automation
  • Overhauling customer-facing and field service tools to streamline workflows, integrate with partners, and improve responsiveness
  • Uplifting cybersecurity, governance, and operating model maturity to reduce risk and increase resilience
  • Coaching, capability-building, and evolving team structure to create a future-ready internal function
  • Leading people and process change to ensure adoption and cultural alignment
  • Overseeing the end-to-end change strategy and managing vendors to deliver against milestones and outcomes

This transformation will deliver measurable business impact across four core pillars:

  • Technology Enablement – replacing outdated systems and digitising workflows to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
  • Data Maturity – moving from fragmented, inconsistent reporting to an enterprise-grade governance model that enables real-time insights.
  • Customer & Staff Experience – embedding tools and processes that make it easier for staff to serve customers, and for customers to self-serve when needed.
  • Operational Resilience – strengthening security, governance, and continuity frameworks to support sustainable growth.

You’ll be supported by external consulting partners throughout the entire program, with full autonomy to shape direction, influence sequencing, select vendors, and lead delivery (from initial design through to embedded value).

Who you’ll do it for

A growing organisation with a deep sense of mission, based on Sydney’s North Shore and supporting thousands across NSW. Backed by strong leadership, financial stability, and a shared belief that systems and data must work better to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes, this is an environment ready for change.

With funding secured and a clear strategy in place, you’ll join a leadership team committed to making this transformation a success.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience as a Head of IT or CIO with enterprise-wide transformation delivery, including system and people change
  • Strong vendor management capability and experience with consulting partners
  • Track record of shaping IT and data strategies in complex or underdeveloped environments
  • Experience uplifting governance, cyber, and enterprise data maturity
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and authenticity
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model – minimum 2 days per week in the North Shore office

We will be on leave returning Wednesday 7th January. We will be taking applications until mid-January with first round interviews commencing late January.

Please note: xceltium has been appointed as the retained partner for this role. Any direct or third-party applications will be filtered back to Steven Fulop.
