Responsibilities

  • Human Factors Engineering: You plan and execute HFE activities with cross-functional teams.
  • HFE Deliverables: You create user profiles, task analyses, and related documentation.
  • User Requirements: You define user needs and translate them into design inputs.
  • Risk Management: You identify use-related hazards and develop risk analyses.
  • Usability Testing: You lead formative and summative studies with external partners.
  • Stakeholder Communication: You present HFE findings and recommend design improvements.
  • Labeling & Instructions: You develop user-friendly labeling and instructions.
  • Best Practices: You establish and share HFE standards and lessons learned.
  • Processes & Guidelines: You create templates and guidance for HFE integration.
  • Knowledge Sharing: You promote HFE within the organization and contribute to publications.
  • Regulatory Support: You provide HFE content for submissions and respond to authority queries.
  • Audit Support: You assist with internal and external audits on device-related topics.
  • Compliance Documentation: You prepare documents for device registration.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: MSc in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, active listener, and ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to inspire others and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German or other language skills are an advantage.
  • Presentation Expertise: Proven experience in scientific or technical publications and presenting at internal and external conferences.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Factors Engineering, medical devices, or combination products, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector.

This position is 60 % onsite. Your starting salary will be at least EUR 65,000 gross per year, with the potential for market-competitive overpayment depending on your qualifications and experience.
