We are doing research on smart mechatronic actuators that help us tackle the challenges of the future. Job Duties:

  • Integration of scientific simulation models for linear motors and actuators into the SymSpace framework
  • Implementation of post processing modules based on internal research results
  • Establish generalized solutions for simulation and post processing
  • Establish a standardized experimental data acquisition for the development of machine learning approaches
  • Close collaboration with industry and research partners

Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a completed relevant university degree in data science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, physics or similar (at least master’s level)
  • Expertise in Python programming
  • Expertise in design and evaluation of electrical machines and magnetic circuit
  • Fundamental knowledge in Matlab, finite element simulations and similar scientific calculation tools and programs
  • Willingness to explore and develop new scientific methods
  • Enthusiasm for new technical solutions including machine learning applications
  • Commitment to work in a team and to cooperate with industrial partners
  • Independent, precise, and reliable work style
  • High degree of self-motivation and sense of responsibility
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German or English (level B2+)

  • On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,714.80 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
