  • Oversee a portfolio of retail centres across Queensland and New South Wales & manage a team of 3 direct reports and 16 indirect reports.

Who we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience as a Portfolio Manager, Senior Centre/Asset Manager or multi‑site Retail/Commercial Manager, ideally across a sizeable shopping centre portfolio.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, Commerce or a related discipline are desirable, along with a solid understanding of retail property operations and client reporting expectations.
  • Demonstrated track record leading, supporting and guiding geographically dispersed site teams.
  • Proven experience to lead a team & providing clear direction and coaching.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to act as the key liaison between Knight Frank, on‑the‑ground teams and the client.

The role

As Portfolio Manager North, you’ll lead a retail portfolio across QLD and NSW, providing strategic oversight and guidance to on‑site teams while acting as the key liaison with our client and three direct reports. This role focuses on leadership, stakeholder management, and portfolio performance, ensuring assets meet compliance and client expectations through effective planning and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide a dispersed team of three, including Senior Facilities Managers, Facilities Manager and an Assistant Portfolio Manager, providing direction, coaching, and performance support.
  • Manage the performance of retail centres across QLD and NSW, ensuring compliance, operational standards, and client expectations are met.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, and key deliverables, ensuring accurate reporting and high‑quality documentation.
  • Drive annual budgeting, planning, and review cycles, aligning portfolio activities with priorities and timelines.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the client, managing communication, resolving complex issues, and fostering strong on‑site relationships through regular visits.
