About the Role
The Aftersales Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts warehousing, inventory management, and transportation logistics for GWM ANZ. This role ensures the seamless and cost‑effective distribution of parts to meet dealer, and customer demands while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Duties/responsibilities include
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including capacity management, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce errors, and optimise storage capacity.
- Manage relationships with transport service providers and local vendors to ensure reliable and cost‑effective delivery of parts.
- Oversee freight logistics, including budgeting, efficiency, and contractual arrangements.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and logistics operations.
- Analyse parts sales, inventory turnover, and other metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues to maintain a reliable and high-quality supply chain.
- Oversee warehouse IT infrastructure and ensure the effective use of inventory management software and systems.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Warehouse Manager and other direct reports to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Parts, Warranty, Customer Contact Centre, and State Managers, to align operational goals with business objectives.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in automotive OEM parts management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Proven track record of managing warehouse operations and transportation logistics.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, logistics systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop data‑driven strategies.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
