More than 27 years in the making, our new Melbourne Flagship will be a 4000sqm beauty wonderland filled with the absolute best in global beauty, with an exclusive product curation from over 200 brands. Customers can expect to see all the services they know and love from MECCA, plus over 80 exciting new experiences and beauty services, including dermal skin services, a perfumeria, an apothecary, and an entire mezzanine level dedicated to gifting.

Not only will our Melbourne Flagship be the largest of our 100+ stores, but it will also be one of the biggest beauty destinations in the world.

We are looking for a Flagship Operations Manager who will drive efficient and organized store operations, ensuring top-tier presentation and stock availability for an unparalleled shopping experience. They will lead and mentor our operations team to uphold MECCA's exceptional customer experience standards, driving success through innovative strategies and a commitment to excellence.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end planning of operations, including visual merchandising, inventory management, stock availability, testers, consumables, packaging, and supplies for regular trade, flagship-specific activations, and major in-store events.
  • Lead by example and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team, guiding and developing their skills to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and Visual Merchandising Manager to implement visual standards and create a unique customer experience.
  • Develop action plans to achieve store KPI targets, aligning operational, customer, team, and financial goals with benchmarks.
  • Foster a safety culture, enforce protocols, conduct inspections, guide loss prevention efforts, monitor training, and ensure compliance for risk mitigation and security.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Extensive retail management experience, especially in large-scale operations and team leadership.
  • Strong stock and inventory management skills.
  • Robust commercial acumen with decision-making aligned with strategic goals.
  • Experience in operational effectiveness and back-of-house processes (highly desired).
  • A genuine care for people, with a customer and team-centric approach.
  • Ability to think long-term and influence change.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Empathetic coaching and leadership style.
  • Organizational skills with experience working in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with cross-functional projects (highly desired).
