Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring and managing procurement-relevant indices using KPI tools
• Conducting and evaluating international procurement market analyses
• Cross-plant cost-optimized procurement of raw and production materials, considering manufacturing processes, technologies, technical functions, logistics, quality, and customer requirements
• Identifying cross-plant cost-saving potentials through material research
• Initiating cross-plant sourcing strategies, volume forecasts, and commodity bundling
• Conducting supplier negotiations, cost-down workshops, and visits
• Presenting strategies and results, reporting to supervisors
• Preparing and leading annual price negotiations
• Managing order placements and contracts following technical and economic guidelines
• Influencing product development and driving cost reduction measures
• Aligning with Magna supplier policies and logistics guidelines
• Monitoring and preventing supply bottlenecks
• Handling escalation processes
• Expanding and maintaining a network of strategic suppliers

Your Profile

• Completed economic or technical education
• Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment preferred
• Knowledge of operational processes beneficial
• Excellent German language skills, fluent English skills
• IT skills: MS Office; SAP knowledge advantageous
• Experience in cost calculations
• Analytical thinking and ability to see connections
• Technical understanding, quality and cost awareness, interest in technical products
• Strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, and communication skills
• Teamwork and enjoyment in solving complex tasks
• Willingness to travel spontaneously
• Resilience, high commitment, flexibility

Legal notice: The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €3,329.62. We are willing to pay a higher salary based on experience and qualifications.
