Project manager (f/m/d) in Lenzing

We are a leading research organisation in the area of wood and wood-related renewable resources in Europe. Our core competencies are materials research and process technology along the complete value chain – from raw material to finished products. We develop methods and perform applied research at the economy-science interface to enable resource-efficient management in the circular bioeconomy.

Position: Project Manager in Pulp and Fiber Biorefinery Team (f/m/d)

Full-time: 30 hours/week

Your responsibilities:

• Lead projects, mainly in collaboration with our industry partner Lenzing AG.
• Topics include pulp and fiber production, biorefinery products, and separation processes in the field of wood-based cellulosic fibers.
• Coordinate project tasks, plan and evaluate experiments, organize meetings, and communicate results to industry partners.

Qualifications:

• PhD in chemistry, technical chemistry, process engineering, material science, biotechnology, or related fields.
• High level of commitment and initiative.
• Independent, structured, responsible, and accurate working style.
• Organizational talent and interest in sustainable pulp and fiber production, biobased products, and processes.
• Knowledge in carbohydrate chemistry, pulp and paper technology, biorefinery.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
