The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (unibz) is a partner of the SUNRISE European University Alliance, funded by Erasmus+. SUNRISE unites nine small universities into a single collaborative network, fostering an environment of mutual support where best practices in teaching, research, and third mission will be shared. All partner institutions are located in non-metropolitan areas, facing similar challenges for future development.

To ensure the successful implementation of the project at unibz, a dedicated SUNRISE office will be established. This office will work in close collaboration with faculty and various administrative departments, including International Relations, Study and Tuition, Career Service and Quality and Strategy Development, all of which are involved in SUNRISE. Additionally, the office will maintain continuous communication with other SUNRISE partners.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the three positions in the SUNRISE office will include:

  • Facilitating a seamless collaboration and information exchange between all unibz members involved in the project.
  • Assisting faculty and administration offices in the implementation and execution of SUNRISE activities across various work packages and activities, which will mainly be related to international student/staff mobility, work orientation, teaching, research, third mission, technology transfer and quality assurance.
  • Supporting and ensuring a close interaction with various administration offices, in particular International Relations, Study and Tuition, Career Service and Quality and Strategy Development.
  • Assisting the SUNRISE project manager in the organization of project meetings, the collection of data for the KPIs, the preparation of documents, information material, project deliverables, etc.
  • Providing support to SUNRISE governance bodies, including the Steering Committee and WP/Task leaders.

Admission Requirements

  • Master’s degree or four-year degree in accordance with the old system or equivalent foreign qualification
  • At least one year of professional experience with organisational, coordination or secretarial tasks and/or at least one year of experience with active participation in working groups

Preferred title

  • Knowledge of the second national language (Italian or German)

Specific knowledge and skills

  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to work independently and organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
  • Very good knowledge of English at C1-level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
  • Good knowledge of the Italian and/or German language at B2-level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft O365-Tools (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.)
