Job summary

ISL Qatar is seeking a Turkish Home Language Teacher (Mother Tongue) to join the Early Years and Primary School. The successful candidate will be an outstanding learner, motivator and communicator, able to support students, staff and parents in developing an internationally minded community.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Qualified Teacher Status, with experience in IB PYP and Turkish mother tongue instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
• Qualified Teacher Status appropriate to the teaching duties to be undertaken.
• Experience with the IB PYP, particularly in the Turkish mother tongue.

Responsibilities

• Implement PYP policy and strategic plans.
• Collaborate with the School Leadership Team to ensure effective curriculum delivery, including resource selection and management.
• Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the mother tongue language curriculum.
• Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and review of assessment and reporting systems.
• Promote the health and safety of middle and high school classes.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
• Foster a sense of team spirit in the primary school and build connections with colleagues across the school.
• Contribute to community service and global citizenship goals.
• Participate in the extra-curricular activities program of the school.
