Job Description:

Traffic - Civil 3D Modeler

Location: Qatar

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic - Civil 3D Modeler to join our team in Doha, Qatar! In this role, you will be responsible for developing 2D designs and 3D models for Signs & Marking, Directional Signs, Traffic Signals, and ITS/UGN systems using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications while delivering high-quality traffic design models.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop accurate and detailed 2D designs and 3D models for Signs & Marking, Directional Signs, Traffic Signals, and ITS/UGN systems using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation and ensure accuracy in layouts and drawings.
  • Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings and models, including layout plans, profiles, cross-sections, structure details, assemblies, and multiview blocks, based on rough sketches or general engineering information.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to develop and finalize design drawings and 3D models for assigned projects.
  • Perform clash analysis, generate clash reports, and update 3D models as per design changes.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with CAD standards, ISO 19650 workflows, and approval processes.
  • Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Perform quality checks on drawings and models, making adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of highways, signs and marking, directional signs, traffic signal, and ITS/UGN drawings.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Associate's or equivalent technical degree/diploma in engineering or a related field, or equivalent technical certification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working on Traffic and Highways projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
  • Experienced user of ProjectWise/ACC Navigator with a strong understanding of drawing/document management procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic design disciplines, including Signs & Marking, Directional Signs, Traffic Signals, and ITS/UGN systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and internal stakeholders.
