Job summary

NTU International A/S is seeking a Senior Non-Key Expert – Trade & Investment to support technical assistance assignments related to trade policy, investment climate and private sector development, with a focus on market access and economic competitiveness within EU-Egypt cooperation.

The role requires a Master’s degree in economics or related fields, with Arabic desirable and French an asset, and at least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably with Egypt/MENA exposure and capacity-building

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, international trade, business, finance, development studies or a related field.
• Arabic language skills desirable.
• French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support technical assistance assignments related to trade and investment policy, investment climate, private sector development, market access and economic competitiveness.
• Contribute to EU-Egypt economic cooperation by preparing analyses, policy recommendations and capacity-building activities.

Job description

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Drawdown Facility.”

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – Trade & Investment to support technical assistance assignments related to trade and investment policy, investment climate, private sector development, market access, economic competitiveness, and EU-Egypt economic cooperation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in economics, international trade, business, finance, development studies, or a related field.
• Arabic is desirable.
• French is an asset.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in trade, investment, private-sector development and/or business-environment reform.
• Experience preparing market studies, investment analyses, feasibility studies and policy recommendations.
• Good knowledge of trade and investment policy and private-sector development instruments.
• Experience in Egypt/MENA desirable.
• Experience providing training, capacity building sessions is desired.
