Job description

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Telecommunication Technician DRSN. This position will be located in Qatar and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Provide telecommunications DRSN support. The contractor shall:

1. Administer and maintain operations 24/7/365;
2. Install DRSN equipment;
3. OM&S long local configuration, enhanced command consoles, voice announcer system, power supplies and UPS;
4. Employ RED and BLACK maintenance tool kits;
5. Employ Information systems Technology programming to support user requirements;
6. Perform software upgrades;
7. Perform installation, placement and relocation;
8. Perform system checkout, test and maintenance;
9. Perform OM&S actions IAW SPIN-C, DOD, USAF, Joint Staff and DISA policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience). Clearance Required: TS/SCI.

Required Skills and Experience:

• IAT-II Certification
• 3 years’ experience on Raytheon Digital Small Switch DSS-2A
• Intermediate-level practical experience in installation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of telecommunications systems or equipment; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
• Intermediate-level experience in maintaining/troubleshooting DRSN equipment; and Raytheon secure digital switches.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
