Job description

Provides innovative and modern architectural approach, in alignment with Organizations technical vision, goals and standards. Activities involve creating technical architecture blueprints, defining standards for design and development, review requirements and identify Non-functional requirements and ensure architecture decisions are aligned to meet the technical and business objectives of the mobile app.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the architecture and design of native and hybrid Mobile Applications on IOS.
• Lead and mentor iOS developers to ensure technical excellence in development of iOS applications.
• Conduct architecture, solution design & code review of iOS applications.
• Drive the identification and implementation of all NFR aspects related to iOS development.
• Ensure best practices related to UI components, performance, security, and device resource utilization are leveraged to provide optimal app performance.
• Collaborate with product teams to understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering and product teams to ensure that solutions meet both technical and business needs.
• Participate in design and architecture reviews to ensure that proposed solutions meet the requirements and align with the overall architecture.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects from other LOBs to identify synergies in solutions and to adopt and standardize common tools and technologies across the organization.
• Contribute to the development of architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities of the organization.
• Plan and execute proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility of ideas, complex solutions, and cutting-edge technologies.
• Responsible for ensuring that all application Non-Functional Requirements are met, ensure thorough testing of NFRs and ensure corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure that recommended technical architecture is manageable, maintainable, scalable, resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective whilst addressing business requirements.
• Ensure that products/projects are adhering to the relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
• Lead root cause analysis of reported critical incidents in operational production systems and recommend/ensure implementation of effective preventive actions to avoid repetition.
• Partner with DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of application.
• Find opportunities to innovate using technology advancements, to the benefit of the product.
• Share best practices and knowledge with engineers to promote continuous learning and improvement.
• Define and implement technical standards, best practices, and patterns for iOS mobile development.
• Own all architecture decisions of the application and ensure these are documented as part of Architecture Decision Records.
• Recommend the right choice of tools & libraries in alignment with the organization standards.
• Ensure all architecture decisions are in alignment with corporate security standards and guidelines.
• Identify technical debts and define technology roadmap for iOS applications.
• Articulate the benefits of architecture modernization to stakeholders and ensure adoption of latest and proven engineering practices & technology trends in development of iOS applications.

ABOUT YOU - SKILLS

• 10+ years of experience in IT.
• 5+ years of experience as Lead Architect for large iOS applications (B2C / B2B / B2E).
• Deep understanding of iOS programming paradigms, frameworks, and design patterns.
• Expertise in various iOS technologies, such as Swift, SwiftUI, and cloud-native iOS frameworks.
• Experience in various iOS design patterns like MVVM, Viper.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing high-performance, secure, and maintainable iOS applications.
• Work closely with our product, design, and UX teams to create amazing and intuitive experiences.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs / GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle.
• Expertise in Product and Solution Design of Large-scale applications.
• Domain expertise on Airline Domain would be an added advantage.
• Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Strong solution design skills to build scalable, resilient and sustainable solutions to address business requirements.
