Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL is seeking a System Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of applications through comprehensive testing. The role involves executing test activities, identifying defects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stable and high-performing systems.

Responsibilities include planning and executing test cases, validating integrations and ensuring data accuracy across the system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of system or software testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end testing activities including planning, analysis, design, implementation, execution and closure.
• Design and execute test cases from functional and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression and sanity testing.
• Validate system integrations across components and platforms.
• Log and track defects with the development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Review requirements and design docs for testability and coverage.
• Support simulation and scenario-based testing where applicable.
• Collaborate with developers, stakeholders and operations.
• Other testing duties as assigned.

We are seeking a System Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of applications through comprehensive testing. The role involves executing test activities, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stable and high-performing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, analysis, design, implementation, execution, and closure
• Design and execute test cases based on functional and technical requirements
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and sanity testing
• Validate system integrations across multiple components and platforms
• Analyze real-time data flows and ensure accuracy and consistency across the system
• Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
• Review requirements and system design documents to ensure testability and coverage
• Support simulation and scenario-based testing where applicable
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, stakeholders, and operations
• Other testing duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in system or software testing
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA methodologies
• Basic knowledge of database testing (e.g., SQL) and API testing concepts
• Experience testing complex or mission-critical systems
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and proactively drive tasks
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Available to support night and after-hours testing as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, smart city, or traffic management systems
• Knowledge of IoT systems, sensor integration, or ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems)
• Exposure to test automation tools or scripting is an advantage
• ISTQB Foundation certification (or working towards it)
