Job description

We are looking for a Duty Manager for our 3-star Hotel in Doha. The ideal candidate should be a good team player and have an excellent level of commercial awareness, daily hotel operations, capable of leading a star hotel team of employees and who can build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests.

Responsibilities
  • Fully responsible for all aspects of departments. Support and work with all Departments in all aspects of running the hotel.
  • Ensure the premises are in operative condition as per category of the unit to receive & serve the guests.
  • Conduct regular operations team meetings with staff daily/weekly to discuss routine operational matters, sales targets, action taken for service recovery, and any staff issues. Minutes of the meeting to be sent to Management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure SOP implementation in all departments and check the same during routine operational checks. Consultant/Management guidance to be taken wherever required.
  • Monitor the purchase/indent/requests of each department.
  • Deal with Suppliers/Vendors/AMC service providers for quality products and provide performance assessments of vendors every quarter to HO Purchase.
  • Inspect all departments for SOP implementation. Inspect all departments with their respective Managers for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming & hospitality culture.
  • Monitor the coordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operations.
  • Assess and review customer satisfaction and service recovery process. Meet all dept. heads to review & train the staff to uphold the human capital.
  • Identify staff learning needs and assist with development.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to all direct reports as and when required either formally or informally.
  • Conduct weekly/daily meetings with marketing and sales team for enquiry & follow up & conversion to grow the business.
  • Monitor and maintain operation & overhead costs in order to maintain maximum revenue for the organization.
  • Be available on call hours a day to resolve any urgent problems or emergencies.
  • Responsible for the overall management of the operation of the hotel.
  • MIS preparation as directed by the Management.
  • Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications & Experience

Excellent revenue management skills with experience in problem-solving and a good team player. Highly focused, have excellent communication skills, be motivated and professional in appearance and presentation. Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset or Graduates bachelor degree and/or diploma in hotel or other related fields. Computer Knowledge, MS Office. Working experience in IDS hotel operation software is desirable. Minimum 3 to 4 years of work experience in a 2 to 3 Star Hotel.

Salary Package

Basic salary of QAR 0 to 0 + Accommodation + Transport + Annual Benefits as per Qatar Labour Rule.
