Job summary

PPOAR is seeking a skilled Surveying Technician to join our Doha team. You will assist with land surveys, data collection, and map/data production, ensuring accuracy and quality across projects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in surveying, proficiency with AutoCAD/ArcGIS, and strong math skills. Outdoor work in varying weather is required; biometric passport preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a surveying technician or similar role.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and ArcGIS software.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to use advanced measuring tools.

Surveying Technician

We are currently hiring for a Surveying Technician to join our team in Doha. Our company is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience in surveying and mapping techniques. As a Surveying Technician, you will work closely with our team of surveyors to assist with collecting and analyzing data, creating maps and reports, and ensuring the accuracy of surveys.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surveyors in conducting land surveys using various techniques such as GPS, total stations, and level instruments
• Collect data on land features, boundaries, topography, and other relevant information
• Use software programs to create maps and reports based on collected data
• Perform calculations to determine property boundaries and areas
• Ensure accuracy of survey measurements by regularly calibrating equipment and checking data
• Assist with drafting legal documents related to surveys
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
• Maintain detailed records of all survey data collected

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a surveying technician or similar role
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to use advanced measuring tools
• Familiarity with surveying software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Biometric passport preferred but not required
