Qatar Energy LNG seeks a Supplier Relations and Market Research Specialist to conduct market intelligence and supplier research to support sourcing decisions and ensure SRM governance. You will develop*, analyze market trends, and present findings to procurement leadership.

Responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance against KPIs, updating analytical tools, and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities in the market.

Supplier Relations and Market Research Specialist

Job description: Job Purpose Conduct market intelligence and supplier research activity to to the assess market conditions, pricing trends, and cost structures to support sourcing and supplier performance decisions. Coordinate and maintain Supplier Relations Management (SRM) procedures and databases to ensure supplier value optimization and compliance with Qatar Energy LNG’s procurement governance framework. Key Job Accountabilities - I Determine, develop, and implement a market intelligence framework to maximize a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Collect, analyze and maintain market intelligence data on supply trends, cost structures and commodity movements to identify sourcing opportunities and risks. Develop a structured approach to obtaining market research to analyse market trends associated with Supply department procured materials and services. Support and maintain the supplier relationship management framework by monitoring supplier performance indicators, feedback and audit results. Develop, and update analytical tools, templates and reports needed to provide visibility of respective markets and commodities to identifying market shifts, supplier performance and recommend opportunities. Conduct and present market research findings and performance insights to supply teams and management for use in tender evaluation and supplier negotiations. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers / stakeholders to understand emerging needs and gain insight on areas needing market research and analysis. Recommend and support initiatives to enhance supplier relations, streamline SRM processes and ensure consistent compliance with governance requirements. Key Job Accountabilities - II Assist in identifying high value procurement categories and perform focused research to support negotiations, cost avoidance and strategic sourcing. Collaborate with end users from contracting and procurement to gather feedback, updates supplier data and identify areas for performance improvement as well as guide on the use of market intelligence tools and processes to support in negotiations with respective suppliers and vendors. Prepare market reports and presentations with detailed analysis to provide insight on market trends and areas of volatility for Supply Leadership Team (SLT) reviews. Coordinate and support the supplier performance review, ensuring alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPI), QLMS standards and contractual requirements to track vendor performance and recommend areas of improvement. Monitor and report key market trends, geopolitical developments, and technological shifts that may impact supplier capabilities and sourcing strategies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business discipline, economics, industrial engineering, or science. Knowledge and/or Experience - I 8 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or supplier relationship management with a focus on market research or analytics within oil and gas industry. Experience in supplier performance monitoring, market intelligence systems and data-driven decision making. Knowledgeable of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and how they are used to enhance supplier relations and performance.
