Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a Student Support Specialist to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar, delivering targeted academic intervention and ESL instruction for multilingual learners.

You will work with teachers to plan differentiated instruction, monitor progress using MAP Growth and other assessments, and develop Student Support Plans in collaboration with families and staff, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Teaching qualification/license recognized by the school.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive school setting.
• Experience delivering literacy and/or mathematics intervention.
• Experience teaching ESL/EAL is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive educational practices.
• Experience using student assessment data to inform instruction and monitor progress.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted academic intervention to students identified through MTSS.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention through small-group and individualized instruction in literacy and mathematics.
• Plan and deliver ESL instruction for multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan, implement, and monitor differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Monitor student progress using MAP Growth and classroom assessments.
• Develop and implement Student Support Plans with teachers and families.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings and case reviews.
• Communicate progress and support strategies with teachers, parents, and leadership.
