Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a Support Specialist Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering targeted intervention to students identified through MTSS and providing ESL instruction for multilingual learners.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers to plan differentiated instruction, monitor progress with MAP Growth, and develop SSPs in partnership with families. The school is an IB World School and part of a global premium schools group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching qualification/license recognized by the school.
• Experience supporting diverse learning needs in an inclusive setting.
• Experience delivering literacy and/or mathematics intervention.
• Experience teaching ESL/EAL is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, UDL, and inclusive practices.
• Experience using assessment data to inform instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MTSS-based targeted academic interventions in literacy and math.
• Provide Tier 2 and 3 supports in small groups and individualized sessions.
• Plan and deliver ESL instruction for multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement differentiated strategies.
• Monitor progress using MAP Growth and classroom assessments.
• Develop and review Student Support Plans with families and staff.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings and case reviews.
• Communicate progress and support plans with parents and school leadership.

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are looking for an experienced Support Specialist Teacher to join our team, delivering targeted academic intervention to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and providing ESL instruction for identified multilingual learners.

The Role

• Delivering targeted academic intervention to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
• Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention through small-group and individualized instruction in literacy and mathematics
• Planning and delivering English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for identified multilingual learners
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to plan, implement, and monitor differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations
• Monitoring student progress using multiple data sources, including MAP Growth and classroom assessments
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing Student Support Plans (SSPs) in collaboration with teachers and families
• Participating in Student Support Team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning sessions
• Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership regarding student progress and support strategies

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Teaching qualification/license recognized by the school
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive school setting
• Experience delivering literacy and/or mathematics intervention
• Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EAL) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and inclusive educational practices
• Experience using student assessment data to inform instruction and monitor progress
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
