Job summary

Mowasalat Qatar is seeking a Procurement Specialist to optimize procurement operations, strengthen supplier relationships, and manage inventory in support of safe and cost-effective transport solutions.

The role emphasizes policy compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement to boost efficiency and protect confidentiality and risk management standards. Experience in procurement and supply chain is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions in line with policies and procedures.
• Identify vendors based on price, quality, quantity, and delivery requirements to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and minimize procurement-related risks.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers for effective communication, collaboration, and mutual benefit.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Support supplier performance evaluation, data management, and supplier development initiatives.
• Assist in managing inventory levels to maintain stock availability.
• Monitor inventory movements and analyse trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement inventory management practices to ensure record accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify procurement-related risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational impact.
• Support and implement business continuity plans to maintain uninterrupted procurement operations.
• Prepare and submit procurement reports covering performance, supplier evaluations, and market analysis.
• Analyse procurement data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
• Develop and monitor procurement metrics aligned with objectives and performance targets.
• Ensure the highest standards of confidentiality to safeguard sensitive data.
