Job summary

QAFCO (Qatar Fertiliser Company) invites a Senior Procurement professional to lead contracting and procurement activities, developing policies, strategies, and risk controls across complex SC categories in petrochemical manufacturing.

The role requires 8+ years in Oil & Gas or large manufacturing, with strong experience in IT systems (SAP/Ariba), supplier performance, and cost optimization, and a track record of driving digital tooling adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance.
• Minimum 8 years of direct and relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Large Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of contracting and procurement IT and IMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead contracting and procurement activities across full need-to-pay cycle.
• Review tendering strategies, bid analyses and contract documentation.
• Mentor Category Specialists and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Track KPIs, savings, and supplier performance.
• Promote AI and automation in category management.
