Job summary

Zegna in Doha is seeking a Warehouse/Stock Controller to oversee stock transfers from warehouse to store and between stores, ensuring accuracy of records and reducing discrepancies.

You will manage stock takes, audits, damaged goods handling, and replenishment processes. The role includes preparing annual stock take calendars with Operations/Store Managers, guiding staff, and coordinating shipments to stores for timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stock transfer movements from warehouse to store and inter-store, ensuring movements are recorded and updated to reduce discrepancies.
• Oversee warehouse audits including stock counts and discrepancy resolution processes.
• Provide updates on deliveries, stock levels, pending orders, damaged/shortage claims, and replenishment processes.
• Ensure proper adjustment of defective stock items per company policy.
• Prepare the annual stock take calendar with Operations Manager and Store Manager, communicate the plan, and mobilize resources for the physical stock take.
• Review stock take results with Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist/Finance Manager and reconcile figures by monitoring stock movements and transfers in stores.
• Prepare reports on findings and implement stock loss action plans; monitor adherence.
• Oversee shipments to stores, coordinating with EZ in Italy and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
• Guide, train, appraise & motivate staff to help subordinates realize their potential.

Job description

• Oversee the entire process of stock transfer into warehouse, warehouse to store and inter store, ensure the movements are recorded and updated to reduce discrepancies.
• Oversee all Warehouse audit - stock count - discrepancy and resolving process.
• Provide valuable update on deliveries, stock levels, pending orders, claims for the damaged/shortage of merchandise & replenishment process.
• Ensure proper adjustment of defective stock items as per company policy.
• Prepare the annual stock take calendar in conjunction with Operations Manager and Store Manager, communicate the plan to all concerned and ensure compliance to the plan by mobilizing the requisite manpower and other related resources for the physical stock take. Oversee the physical stock take process, monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
• Review stock take results in conjunction with the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist / Finance Manager and reconcile the figures by monitoring stock movements and transfers in the stores.
• Prepare reports based on the findings and provide recommendations and suggestions to the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist. Implement stock loss action plans (formulated as a result of stock counts in the retail stores) and monitor their adherence.
• Oversee the process of shipments for the goods, coordinate with EZ in Italy and the logistics company to ensure timely delivery to the stores.
• Guide, train appraise & motivate staff to enable subordinates (if any) realize their full potential.
