Primary Purpose of the Job

Develop and implement Occupational Health and Safety Management systems related to Industrial Hygiene. Guide the Refining Operations (Refinery and Chemical Plant) departments to achieve strategic hygiene goals. Provide advice to evaluate resources and operational requirements to safeguard employee health.

Required Experience and Skills

• Possess internationally recognized certifications (CIH, ROH, COH, etc.) in industrial hygiene.
• 8 years' experience in Public/Occupational Health or Industrial Hygiene, with at least 3-5 years as an Industrial Hygienist in refinery/oil & gas or chemical industries.
• Effective communication skills at all levels.
• Time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to coach/instruct in small groups.
• Innovative approaches to solving industrial hygiene issues related to refining and oil & gas industries.
• Leadership, supervisory, problem-solving, presentation, investigation, negotiation, computer, and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to write specifications, reports, procedures, perform inspections, risk assessments, review proposals, and work effectively with teams.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Science/Engineering (Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental) or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Courses in Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Health/Public Health, preferably with NEBOSH Diploma.
