Job description
Primary Purpose Of The Job

The Sr. Marketer is responsible for negotiating Master Sales and Purchasing Agreements (MSPA’s) with identified customers. They will develop strategies and identify opportunities for making short term sales which deliver maximum value to shareholders and the State of Qatar.

Principle Accountabilities

  1. Steward short term contracts with designated customers. Represent QatarEnergy in a professional manner and seek to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  2. Analyse market trends from market interactions and regulatory developments and report outcome to the Assistant Manager.
  3. Develop innovative or complex tactics for upcoming negotiations consistent with the approved strategy with the objective to maximize value for the State of Qatar and shareholders.
  4. Lead complex negotiations for QatarEnergy, involving multi-functional teams, as and when directed, in direct customer meetings for the development of new MSPAs and confirmation notices with the goal of capturing the best market value, highest flexibility, the highest netback and maximum value for shareholders and the State of Qatar.
  5. Provide in depth understanding of all aspects of assigned short term contracts and ensure contract sanctity and adherence to all QatarEnergy procedures, processes and controls based on experience / lessons learnt.
  6. Liaise within VM Directorate, Finance and Legal and other support functions to ensure efficient development and implementation of new MSPAs and provide management with recommendations for any deviation from QatarEnergy standards.
  7. Assist the Division Manager - Short Term Sales to develop marketing plans and proposals for short term LNG sales and obtain management endorsement as required.
  8. Provide input and support the implementation of the approved marketing strategy as directed to achieve flawless results.
  9. Coordinate with the Short Term Sales team to ensure optimal customer approach to enhance value and marketing principles.
Required Experience And Skills

  1. 8 years professional experience in marketing and business development of the hydrocarbon industry.
  2. Industry knowledge of the various types of LNG sales contracts like heads of agreement, term sheet, confidentiality agreements, MSPAs and sales and purchase agreement for both FOB & Ex-Ship.
Educational Qualifications

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (Business, Economics, Engineering or Finance).
