Job summary

Qatar Energy is seeking a senior Enterprise Architecture professional to develop and maintain enterprise architecture principles, models, and governance across the IT landscape in Qatar. You will lead ARB activities, manage the EA repository, and drive adoption of emerging technologies with business-aligned investments.

The role focuses on ensuring seamless integration of new solutions, coordinating stakeholders, and producing guidance to promote continuous learning and architectural excellence

Qualifications

• 9+ years in an enterprise IT environment with 4+ years in Enterprise Architecture practices.
• Experience in the energy industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

Primary Purpose of the Job

1. Develop and maintain enterprise architecture principles, models, standards, guidelines, procedures, enterprise architecture assets and artifacts including reference architectures, target architectures, capability models, and technology roadmaps for enterprise IT ecosystem.
2. Analyze the development of architecture standards, patterns, and guidelines for systems design and integration to be used while participating in architecture assessments for IT initiatives to ensure alignment with approved principles, standards, and reference architectures.
3. Performs the Architecture Review Board (ARB) operations by reviewing requests, coordinating the planning and alignment session with ARB members, conducting compliance assessments, and tracking decisions.
4. Maintain architecture repository and upkeep architectural assets/ artifacts in IT environment to ensure accurate documentation across all EA domains.
5. Drive research of emerging technologies and their applicability to the enterprise environment and propose innovative technologies and practices by providing use cases for their adoption helping drive digital excellence and a competitive advantage.
6. Drive research of right business technology investments by understanding business strategies and concepts for current and future needs
7. Assure seamless integration of new solution adoption and changes to existing IT landscape through solution roadmaps and architectural blueprints.
8. Manage EA tool while incorporating changes in business process, data, applications and technology by using architectural models and processes.
9. Lead communication related to enterprise architecture governance by being the source of architecture framework to ensure all stakeholders are aware and comply with these standards.
10. Compile guidance material to IT staff to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in enterprise architecture practices while supporting the section Head towards Qatari personnel career development.

Required Experience and Skills

9+ years of experience in an enterprise IT environment, with at least 4 years in Enterprise Architecture practices and operations. energy industry experience is an asset.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
