Job summary

Airswift is seeking a QC Inspector (Welding) to join a major Oil & Gas Company in Doha, Qatar. The role requires hands‑on welding QC inspection across tanks, piping, and related static/rotating equipment, ensuring strict adherence to QC standards on large construction projects.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/metallurgical/materials engineering degree or technical diploma, with mandatory certifications (CSWIP 3.2, AWS‑SCWI, NDT Level‑II) and extensive experience in oil & gas environments,

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering degree or technical diploma with experience in quality control in a multi‑discipline construction environment.
• Preferably formal training in QC and membership with a recognized chartered or other professional institution.
• Certifications: CSWIP 3.2, AWS‑SCWI Sr. Welding Inspector, NDT Level‑II – mandatory. Preferred: BGAS Grade‑2 or NACE Level‑2 Painting Inspector certificate. Equivalent internationally recognized certifications are acceptable.
• Experience: 10years for bachelor’s degree holders and 15years for technical diploma holders in a similar position in the oil & gas sector.
• Experience in GCC is desirable.
• Hands‑on working experience related to storage tanks, piping, pipeline welding inspection and testing; installation of static and rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex QC inspections of welding activities on major oil & gas/petrochemical construction projects.
• Work closely with contractor personnel and multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural environment.
• Ensure compliance with quality control requirements and testing procedures.
