Job summary

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans that align with project requirements and business objectives,analyzing software requirements, identifying testing scope and objectives, determining appropriate testing approaches, and creating detailed test planning documentation that serves as a roadmap for all testing activities

• Create detailed, well-structured test cases that cover functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing scenarios, designing test cases that are comprehensive, maintainable, and executable, ensuring all software features and functions are thoroughly validated including positive and negative test scenarios, edge cases, and error conditions

• Prepare and manage test data sets that support various testing activities, identifying data requirements, creating realistic test data scenarios, and implementing data management strategies that ensure test repeatability and reliability while understanding data privacy and security requirements

• Execute systematic functional testing validation of software features and functions against specified requirements, conducting exploratory testing, usability testing, and compatibility testing across different platforms and environments with proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies

• Conduct non-functional testing including performance testing, security testing, scalability testing, and reliability testing, designing and executing load tests, stress tests, and volume tests to validate system performance under various conditions and ensure software meets performance requirements

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using popular testing frameworks and tools, implementing robust, maintainable automated test suites that provide reliable feedback on software quality, identifying appropriate candidates for automation and following test automation best practices

• Manage defect identification, documentation, tracking, and resolution throughout the testing lifecycle, using defect management tools effectively, writing clear and actionable defect reports, and working with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution and verification

• Setup, configure, and maintain testing environments that accurately reflect production conditions, coordinating with infrastructure teams, configuring test environments, and ensuring testing environments are stable, secure, and properly maintained to support effective testing

• Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics that provide insights into software quality and testing effectiveness, creating meaningful quality dashboards, generating testing reports for stakeholders, and using metrics to drive continuous improvement in testing processes

• Evaluate and enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools, staying current with industry best practices, evaluating new testing tools and technologies, and implementing improvements that increase testing efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining quality standards

• Collaborate actively with development teams in agile development processes, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, providing timely feedback on software quality and working closely with developers to resolve issues

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance roles with demonstrated expertise in test planning, test case development, test execution, and defect management, including both manual and automated testing approaches with proven track record in enterprise environments

• Comprehensive testing methodology experience is required, including proficiency with various testing types such as functional testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, and security testing, with understanding of testing best practices and industry standards Fluency in English mandatory.

• Test automation expertise is mandatory, with hands-on experience in popular test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete, UFT, or similar platforms, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C# for creating maintainable automated test suites

• Testing tools proficiency is essential, with experience using popular testing and defect management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms, with ability to configure and customize testing tools to support project requirements and team workflows

• Excellent experience in preparing test data based on functional and non-functional requirements. Experience in using test data management tools is considered a big advantage

• Performance testing experience is required, including proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or similar platforms, with understanding of performance testing principles and ability to design realistic load scenarios that accurately reflect production usage patterns

• API testing expertise is important, with experience in testing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and microservices architectures, with proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured, and understanding of API testing best practices and security considerations

• Database testing knowledge is valuable, including understanding of SQL queries, data validation techniques, and database testing best practices, with experience in database testing tools and ability to validate data integrity across different systems and environments

• Professional certifications in software testing are mandatory and will be considered a major advantage, including ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Advanced Level, CSTE (Certified Software Test Engineer), CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst), or vendor-specific certifications in testing tools and platforms
