- Accountable for a variety of complex deliverables throughout the lifecycle of large-scale projects.
- Manages the resources across a portfolio of projects, all within the established budgets.
- Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
- Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports.
- Responsible for timely cash collection in compliance with contract terms.
- Responsible for ensuring that any additional work/changes in scope are approved by clients.
- Ensures all deliverables comply with the PDS.
- Reviews and responds to contractors' claims in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Contract and ensures the Clients' interests are protected.
- Provides direct liaison with the Client project team.
- Reviews the contracts and commercial reports.
- Represents the clients/AECOM in dispute resolutions/arbitration procedures.
- Develops and implements procurement strategies for all project packages.
Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of FIDIC suite of contracts.
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value, and risk.
- Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
- Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a co-location/secondment arrangement would be of benefit.
- A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
- Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB, or other equivalent institution.
