Job description

  • Accountable for a variety of complex deliverables throughout the lifecycle of large-scale projects.
  • Manages the resources across a portfolio of projects, all within the established budgets.
  • Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
  • Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports.
  • Responsible for timely cash collection in compliance with contract terms.
  • Responsible for ensuring that any additional work/changes in scope are approved by clients.
  • Ensures all deliverables comply with the PDS.
  • Reviews and responds to contractors' claims in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Contract and ensures the Clients' interests are protected.
  • Provides direct liaison with the Client project team.
  • Reviews the contracts and commercial reports.
  • Represents the clients/AECOM in dispute resolutions/arbitration procedures.
  • Develops and implements procurement strategies for all project packages.

Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of FIDIC suite of contracts.
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value, and risk.
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
  • Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a co-location/secondment arrangement would be of benefit.
  • A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB, or other equivalent institution.
