Job summary

Parsons in Doha, DAW, QA seeks a Site Engineer (Roads) for a full-time, on-site role. You will oversee road construction activities, coordinate with design and construction teams, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on large-scale infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 10+ years of road construction supervision experience, proficiency in MS Office and Primavera/MS Project, and excellent English communication. MME is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in road construction supervision, with at least 5 years in a site engineering role for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in managing road works such as grading, paving, drainage, and other infrastructure components.
• Strong understanding of road construction standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• MME is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all road construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the design and construction teams to ensure smooth execution of road works, such as grading, paving, drainage systems, and signage.
• Monitor work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and taking corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
• Conduct site inspections, ensuring that road works are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with the approved design.
• Ensure proper documentation of all road works, including progress reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with road works.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for road works.
• Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that road components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.
