Job summary

Hamad Medical Corp in Qatar seeks the most senior doctor in Pulmonology to lead a team of Consultants and junior doctors, oversee clinical care under their name, and guide all clinical decisions.

The role requires a Western qualification, at least five years of post-qualification experience in Pulmonology, a valid license or eligibility for licensing in Qatar, and outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills to drive high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Western qualification (UK/USA/Canada/Australia or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification clinical experience in Pulmonology (or equivalent).
• Valid medical license/registration and licensing eligibility in Qatar.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Consultants and junior doctors.
• Care for patients admitted under his name and make clinical decisions.
• Collaborate with department chair on service development, budgets and staffing.
• Teach and train junior doctors and engage in research priorities.
