Job summary

Gulf Business Machines Qatar is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project execution in accordance with client specifications and agreed contracts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in IT, PMP certification, and over 7 years of experience in senior management.

This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills, along with a strong background in vendor management. The position is based in Doha, Qatar.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in an advanced/senior management role.
• Working knowledge with mobile, web portal, and Cloud is added plus.
• Experience on Vendor Side.

Job description

• Plan and execute the project in accordance with the client specification, agreed contract, programme schedule, project management methodology and quality procedures.
• Perform internal project kick-off with all GBM stakeholders.
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track project progress.
• Review the documentation handed over from the sales team who worked on the proposal development.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
• According to project size and complexity, perform project definition workshop with customer and document outcome in Project Definition Document/Charter.
• Perform project methodology tailoring according to project size, complexity and customer specific requirements.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure milestone acceptance as planned by customer.
• Report project status and escalat e to management as needed.
• Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Implement measures to ensure compliance with the internal quality procedures and the clients’ quality assurance.
• Manage the implementation of H&S requirements in accordance with the procedures specified within the contract.
