Job summary

A global engineering firm is seeking a Senior Pipelines Engineer in Doha, Qatar. The role involves supervising engineers, translating project specifications, and contributing to significant FEED Projects. Candidates should have a degree in engineering and extensive experience in the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical industries. Proficiency in relevant software is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in offshore/onshore Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry.
  • At least five years in a similar position for international major projects.
  • Experience with ASME, API, ISO codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pipeline engineers and designers.
  • Translate information from the Concept Selection Report to project specifications.
  • Support the team's objectives across major FEED Projects.

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Pipelines Engineer to join our team in Qatar. In this role you are collaborating with a team of designers and engineers, where you will have the opportunity to be hands-on in supporting the group’s objectives across major FEED Project.

Role overview

In this role, you will be responsible to supervise pipeline engineers and designers to translate the limited information from the Concept Selection Report and / or Basis for Design to Basis for Design and / or Front End Design & project specifications as well as Detailed Design.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the offshore / onshore Oil and Gas / Petrochemical and Marine industry.
  • Must have at least five years of experience in similar position for international major Oil and Gas / Petrochemical / Marine projects including minimum three years in ENGINEER’s / CONTRACTOR's organization.
  • Experienced in using ASME, API, ISO, DNV and Shell DEP codes and standards in pipelines design and construction.
  • Experienced in the use of pipeline software (AutoCAD, Microstation, MathCad, CAESAR II, Abacus, ESRI / GIS) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required
