Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy in Qatar is seeking a certified NDT Technician to examine materials, welds, and components for defects using MT, PT, UT and VT methods. You will perform inspections in accordance with ASTM/API standards and provide detailed reports.

Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on NDT experience in oil & gas or related sectors is required. On-site work in rig yards with a focus on safety and compliance will be essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on NDT inspection experience in oil & gas, power, or related sectors.
• Level II Certification in MT, PT, UT and VT as per ASNT or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ASTM, API and DS-1 standards for inspection.
• Proficient in identifying defects such as cracks, porosity, incomplete welds.

Responsibilities

• Examine materials, welds and components for defects.
• Perform MT, PT, UT and VT NDT inspections.
• Conduct inspections using eddy current, UT and fluorescent dye penetrant techniques.
• Carry out incoming, in-process and final inspections to meet requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation per standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe rig yard work environment.
