Job summary

QNB Group is seeking a Senior Manager Treasury Operations Control in Doha to lead the Treasury Control workflow, ensure real‑time accuracy of trading positions, P&L and limits reporting, and produce management reports with rigorous analysis.

The role supervises a small team, maintains OPICS configurations, and ensures compliance with EMIR and MRUD regulations, while partnering with internal stakeholders to optimize risk control and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; master's preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international bank or treasury operations.
• Experience in investments control or related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 5–6 employees handling 40,000–45,000 transactions annually.
• Ensure accuracy of real‑time trading positions, P&L, and limits reporting.
• Produce timely management reports with analysis and justification.
• Maintain OPICS setup, counterparties, settlement instructions, and settlement accounts.
• Monitor treasury limits, audits, and regulatory compliance (EMIR and MRUD).

Job Purpose Summary

Manage Treasury Control workflow. Ensure accuracy of real-time trading positions, P&L, and limits reporting to support risk control and profitability. Ensure timely completion of management reports with appropriate analysis and justification. Ensure accuracy of transaction flows to production systems. Produce timely and accurate reporting. Lead, train, and develop staff while promoting a teamwork-oriented environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities By Dimensions

Shareholder & Financial

• Provide operational support to Treasury management of assets and liabilities. Supervise 5-6 employees analyzing approximately 40,000-45,000 transactions annually. Control all Treasury Control Unit activities. Act as backup for Treasury Operations Middle Office. Implement KPIs and best practices. Promote efficiency, productivity, and cost consciousness.

Customer (Internal & External)

• Ensure capital market and investment positions comply with QNB investment strategy and QCB limits. Support internal and external audit requirements. Build strong relationships with related business units. Assist customers and internal stakeholders with treasury-related requests. Maintain agreed service levels with internal departments.

Internal Processes & Regulatory

• Monitor treasury limits and standing instructions. Prepare and maintain treasury statistics and audit requirements. Monitor Islamic treasury transactions. Investigate discrepancies with banks and financial institutions. Reconcile trading positions and P&L balances with Front Office. Ensure investment and capital market exceptions receive proper approvals. Monitor trading balances, international shares, customer holdings, and investment portfolios. Support international branches and subsidiaries. Maintain OPICS setup, including counterparties, securities, rate re-fixings, settlement instructions, and settlement accounts. Oversee repo agreements and compliance with EMIR and MRUD regulations.

Learning & Knowledge

• Maintain strong knowledge of capital markets, investments, accounting treatments, liquidity management, and treasury products. Understand treasury and back-office systems, processing routines, accounting rules, payments, and reporting.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international bank, treasury operations, investments control, or related field.
