Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Qatar is looking for a Lifting/Rigging Engineer to design and supervise lifting operations ensuring safety and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in the oil & gas or construction industry, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and strong knowledge of QatarEnergy codes. This position involves on-site technical support for critical lifts and preparing detailed lifting plans and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in lifting/rigging engineering in oil & gas, construction, or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of QatarEnergy standards and RLIC regulations.
• Experienced in working on Oil & Gas brown field projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review lifting and rigging plans and method statements.
• Select and ensure certification of lifting equipment and accessories.
• Provide on-site technical support for critical lifts.
