Job summary

Experience in Doha seeks an IT Security Specialist with 10+ years of information security experience. The role is onsite in Qatar for a 1-year renewable contract, focusing on security incident handling, risk assessment, and compliance with IS standards.

You will investigate breaches, manage access controls, conduct vulnerability assessments, and guide remediation with cross-functional teams. Bachelor degree required; oil/gas sector familiarity preferred; strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or other relevant discipline.
• 10 years Information Security experience ideally within the oil/gas industry.
• Knowledge of information security standards and IT competency frameworks.
• Understanding of IS27002 controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigates security breaches and recommends actions, follows up for implementation.
• Interprets violation reports and logs, interviews offenders when needed, and reports to management.
• Defines access rights and privileges and administers physical and logical access controls.
• Conducts security control reviews and risk assessments for information systems.
• Investigates network attacks, conducts business impact analysis, and ensures regulatory compliance.
