Job Title: Senior HSE Engineer

Location: Qatar

Contract Term: Until May 2030

Work Schedule: Office Based

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Engineer for a major infrastructure and energy programme. This role requires a highly qualified professional to oversee and support HSE activities across multiple construction and engineering workstreams, ensuring full compliance with project, corporate, and international HSE standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement departmental HSE plans, KPIs, and compliance frameworks
  • Review project scope documents and define HSE input requirements
  • Evaluate contractor submissions and participate in technical bid assessments
  • Lead audits and compliance checks across teams and contractors
  • Support legal and regulatory HSE compliance efforts
  • Assist in certifications and performance reporting
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver HSE training and promote safety culture
  • Maintain HSE risk registers and lessons learned databases
  • Support site-based HSE staff and conduct site assessments
  • Review and approve contractor HSE personnel and ensure competency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Certifications in OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH
  • At least 15 years of HSE experience, with 5 years in a senior role
  • Experience in infrastructure or oil and gas project safety management
  • Familiarity with ISO and OSHA standards
  • Proven audit, training, and risk assessment experience
