Job summary

SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced Consultant Gastrointestinal & Endocrine Surgeon for a leading tertiary care hospital in Doha, Qatar. The role encompasses complex GI and endocrine surgical care, with emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and excellent patient outcomes.

Candidates should hold UK CCT or an equivalent qualification, possess substantial consultant-level GI surgery experience, and be eligible for Qatar licensure.

Qualifications

• UK CCT in General Surgery or an appropriately recognised surgical specialty.
• Substantial consultant-level experience in gastrointestinal surgery with endocrine surgery expertise.
• Eligibility for consultant-level licensing in Qatar per local requirements.
• Experience in open and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of GI conditions including oesophagus, stomach, bowel and abdominal organs.
• Perform elective and emergency GI surgical procedures with appropriate credentials.
• Treat endocrine surgical conditions involving thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands.
• Coordinate pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead multidisciplinary meetings and supervise junior medical staff.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation and patient safety.
