Overview
Job Purpose: The Senior Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the automotive division, ensuring effective financial planning, accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves providing strategic financial guidance to management, supporting profitability growth, and driving financial efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the automotive division. Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Accounting & Reporting: Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operations.
- Business & Operational Support: Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to assess financial viability of new initiatives, campaigns, and business models. Monitor automotive KPIs such as gross margin, stock turnover, credit exposure, and profitability by brand/model. Support pricing decisions, promotions, and financing schemes in coordination with OEM and dealers.
- Controls & Compliance: Establish strong internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate governance. Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies. Mitigate financial risks by implementing effective policies and systems.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provide financial training and guidance to non-finance managers. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred, CPA/ACCA/CMA a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive business cycles, dealer/OEM financial processes, and automotive retail KPIs.
- Proficient in ERP systems (KEYLOOP System or equivalent) and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
