Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead environmental engineering and compliance for onshore power projects.

You will provide technical input across design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, with emphasis on HSE studies and environmental management plans.

The role requires strong communication, coordination with authorities, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding industrial setting in Qatar.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental engineering within the power generation industry.
• Experience with environmental studies such as EIA, HAZID, ENVID, HIRA and dispersion modelling.
• Strong knowledge of international environmental regulations, industry best practices and company standards.
• Experience developing and reviewing Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), Waste Management Plans and Oil Spill Response Plans.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for environmental engineering and compliance activities for onshore greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Provide technical input across design, procurement, installation, construction and commissioning to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulatory requirements for power projects.
