Senior ELV Engineer Doha, Qatar

Description

Overview:

We are looking to hire a Senior ELV Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of ELV works related to large-sized high-rise buildings.

Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality technical services as a discipline engineer.
• Carry out concept definition, engineering studies, design, scope, and prepare engineering documents according to standards and procedures.
• Verify and sign off technical designs and bids in accordance with approved standards.
• Deliver timely services to meet project requirements.
• Advise and support in discipline engineering matters throughout all project stages.
• Plan and coordinate activities of engineering teams, review execution strategies.
• Support the discipline head/lead in managing client standards.
• Participate in technical assurance and standardization activities to ensure compliance.
• Approve deviations, waivers, and variations to standards and practices.
• Ensure implementation of environmental, safety, and other technical policies.
• Develop competencies and skills, including structured training for engineers.

Requirements:

• BSc in IT/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university, with extensive experience in ELV works for large high-rise buildings.
• Membership in a relevant professional organization.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in design, construction, and commissioning of ELV works in high-rise buildings.
• Knowledge of international standards, specifications, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Experience reviewing and approving contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Effective communication, presentation, report writing, and meeting management skills.
