Job summary

Orbis Group in Doha, Qatar, is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join a newly established Data & AI function. You will help run and evolve a cloud Data Warehouse, enabling modern AI capabilities and supporting business transformation.

You will work with Data Scientists and Modellers, build scalable, secure pipelines on Azure and Snowflake, and guide ML/GenAI adoption across Investment, Risk, Finance and Operations teams. Relocation to the Middle East is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud data engineering with Azure
• 2+ years working with Snowflake (configuration, deployment, maintenance)
• Strong commercial Python experience (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)
• Exposure to AI capabilities such as Snowflake Cortex AI and Azure AI Foundry

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, secure cloud data solutions for multiple teams (Investment, Risk, Finance, Operations)
• Manage and improve the cloud Data Warehouse (Azure, Snowflake)
• Design and deploy data pipelines to support analytics, ML, and GenAI development
• Advise on tech strategy to enable ML/GenAI adoption across the business
