Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a highly creative and commercially minded Manager Aircraft Interior to lead development and integration of current and future cabin features. You will shape cabin hard product strategy, translate design briefs into concepts, and work with internal teams, OEMs, and suppliers to uphold premium standards across the fleet.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Transportation Design, Product Strategy, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of job-related experience in product development and aircraft interiors.
Experience within multinational creative environments, product innovation teams, R&D functions, or design studios.
Strong knowledge of cabin interiors, product development, design integration, and customer experience concepts.
Demonstrated ability to benchmark competitors and translate market insights into product improvements and innovation opportunities.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage relationships with suppliers, OEMs, and design partners.
Demonstrated creativity and innovation mindset with a focus on delivering superior customer experiences across all cabin classes.

Responsibilities

Manage customer-facing cabin interiors across new aircraft programmes, fleet upgrades, and interior enhancement initiatives.
Support development and implementation of interior strategies that enhance passenger comfort, aesthetics, and brand identity.
Define interior features, branding elements, lighting concepts, and product specifications meeting premium quality standards.
Collaborate with industrial design studios, OEMs, suppliers, and innovation partners to develop future cabin concepts and technologies.
Lead translation of design briefs into compelling product concepts and visuals for stakeholder presentations.
Manage multiple aircraft interior projects and milestones to meet fleet programme timelines.
Represent Product Development & Design as the voice of the customer during programme reviews, inspections, and acceptance activities.
Develop cabin layouts, seating concepts, galleys, lavatories, colour schemes, materials, and finishes to meet requirements.
Conduct industry research, competitor benchmarking, material evaluations, and trend analysis to stay at cabin design forefront.
