Job summary

Commercial Bank Of Qatar is seeking a senior machine learning professional to design and implement advanced ML solutions for pricing, propensity modeling, and personalized recommendations within banking contexts.

You will translate complex business problems from Risk, Finance, and Retail/Wholesale Banking into actionable models, ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering measurable business value. Prototyping in Python and collaboration with ML/AI engineers are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in data science or quantitative analysis roles.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of delivering ML models in pricing, propensity, or recommendation domains.
• Background in Risk, Finance, or quantitative functions within banking preferred.
• Experience with model validation, governance, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
• Professional certifications in Risk (FRM, PRM) or Finance (CFA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models for pricing optimization (dynamic pricing, rate optimization, fees).
• Build propensity models for customer behaviors (churn, cross-sell, upsell).
• Develop recommendation systems for personalized offers and next-best-action.
• Frame business problems in banking contexts as ML solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and business units to identify opportunities.
• Ensure models consider regulatory requirements and business constraints.
• Translate model outputs into actionable business insights.
• Prototype in Python and collaborate with ML/AI Engineers for production deployment.
