Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Doha, Qatar, seeks a seasoned Lead Automation Engineer to manage complex automation projects across Oil & Gas and other sectors. You will lead project teams, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards throughout the lifecycle of the project.

You will design and issue project documentation, specify Honeywell hardware and third-party components, oversee testing, certification, and shipment, and drive on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electronics/Automation engineering.
• 10-12 years experience as Lead Engineer of Automation projects.
• Proven track record in executing Automation projects for Oil & Gas or other markets.
• Experience with main EPC companies (Engineering Procurement and Construction – Saipem, Tecnimont, Technip, etc) and O&G End Users.

Responsibilities

• Be the main technical interface with Clients and Suppliers.
• Build project team and manage internal resources (local and remote project people).
• Design, issue project documents, procure Honeywell material and 3 rd party goods and services, test supplied hardware and configuration, ship all goods with relevant certificates and final documentation.
• Expedite activities and grant deliveries and quality.
• Support site activities, finding the right resources.
• Build and maintain long term relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
• Be informed on last technical issues and workaround.
• Knowledge of Honeywell hardware solutions (Experion, C300 and Safety Manager as minimum) and typical 3 rd party items (marshalling cabinets, power distribution panels, interposing relay panels, auxiliary consoles, cables, etc)
