Job summary

QNB Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Asset Management Middle Office / Performance & Risk Analyst in Doha to calculate and report portfolio performance and risk metrics. You will prepare client reports, support benchmark comparisons, and ensure compliance with GIPS standards while collaborating with investment teams.

The role requires strong Excel, Python, SQL and BI tooling skills, plus fluency in English and Arabic. A senior candidate with 10+ years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative field.
• CFA Level I or CIPM preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in performance analysis, risk attribution, or investment operations.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, and BI tools.
• Excellent English and Arabic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calculate portfolio performance and risk across asset classes and benchmark against targets.
• Conduct performance and risk attribution analysis identifying contributions from allocation, selection, currency, and style.
• Build customized client reports based on requirements.
• Generate risk‑adjusted metrics (Sharpe, alpha, beta, tracking error, volatility).
• Analyze fund expenses and costs to support benchmarking and transparency.
• Collaborate with investment managers to optimize fund structures based on performance trends.
• Maintain and improve performance measurement tools, data pipelines and dashboards.
