Senior Architectural Engineer Doha, Qatar

Description

Overview:

We are looking to hire a Senior Architectural Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, with at least 6 years related to the Oil & Gas industry.

Fluency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical design and engineering services in Architectural Engineering for all assigned projects, ensuring quality, schedule, cost, and HSE standards are met.
  2. Conduct architectural engineering activities and site surveys from initial concept through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
  3. Ensure adherence to client technical assurance practices, standards, environmental, and safety policies in work-scopes and activities.
  4. Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
  5. Support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying client standards and amendments.
  6. Plan and coordinate a team of multidisciplinary engineers to deliver timely technical services.
  7. Coordinate engineering designs, develop, and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects.
  8. Review and approve method statements from contractors for scope compliance and liaise to resolve technical issues.
  9. Develop and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling.
  10. Evaluate technical bid packages for scope compliance.
  11. Review and assess contract changes and variations.
  12. Support the development of technical skills within the team through training.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  2. Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent (preferable).
  3. Minimum 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, with at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
  4. Ability to utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to Architectural Engineering.
  5. Proven experience managing time, cost, and quality in multiple engineering projects.
  6. Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
