We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer for one of our clients with the following details :
Location: Doha, Onshore
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: MAR-2026
Work status: Single, residential
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IS / IT activities
- Expertise on technical domains as application development, solutions integration, database, web and cloud technologies
- 10 years experience in implementation and maintenance of application
- 5 years of experience supporting different corporate function of an organization
- Project management capabilities
- Ability to structure their work and perform in a highly administrative environment
- Approachable and a team player with a pragmatic attitude, able to take different perspective into account
- Ability to multitask and support changes
- Fluent in English both spoken & written
- Excellent inter-personal skills
Responsibilities
- Be the Business focal contact point for a set of services and independently responsible for effectively managing and maintaining specific applications and systems to ensure optimal service levels through minimalizing unplanned downtime
- Day-to-day support of 3 Surface departments (E&C, CPD, MP)
- Support, optimize and manage the Surface Solutions portfolio for multiple Business lines
- Collaborate closely with the designated Business focal points to maintain a high satisfaction level
- Provide Level 3 Expertise Support for the applications of the designated Business line
- Liaise with external vendors of the applications
- Manage developers and consultants performing service improvements and maintenance
- Manage the contracts and licenses of the applications of the designated Business line
- Advise end-users, Business focal point and colleagues based on technical expertise
- Create and maintaining up-to-date records of documentation such as interface visuals, service matrix, service catalogue, SOP, etc.
- Manage technical projects as a Technical Lead in the area of Surface domain
- Monitor and report service availability, usage and statistics for analysis of requirements and performance
- Execution of activities in line with Company policies
- Implement new solutions for Business requirements in respect to DBS quality standards, best practices, and with a focus on cost efficiency
- Liaise with DBS entities to define architectural design of the new solutions
- Advise the designated Business partners to follow the DBS strategy and maintain a coherent environment
- Capture the demand from the Business line and drive the demand from initiation to execution
- Gather voice of customer from the designated business line
- Run digital use cases as a Product SME for the designated business line
- Participate in the remote yards configurations and continuously track the DBS service performance
